Dragon’s Fury Repaint Begins
January 29th 2023
Dragon’s Fury repaint begins at Chessington World of Adventures.
That’s right – following the opening of Shipwreck Coast in the summer of 2022. And with a vast new investment opening up with The World of Jumanji. Chessington is once again taking time out of its schedule to give some love to other parts of the park!
Opening in 2004, Dragon’s Fury opened alongside the Land of the Dragons. This spinning roller coaster from manufacturer Maurer Rides has been operational ever since. After 19 seasons of operation, the ride has undoubtedly seen better days!
The park has now however begun the task of rejuvenating this classic coaster. Repainting a roller coaster is a huge task, but the team are certainly up to the task! Breathing new life back into the ride ahead of a huge 2023 theme park season!
At the moment, we believe a base coat is in progress. It will be interesting to see what colour the ride takes on going forward. The ride has certainly looked tired for the last few years. It is certainly well-needed to help improve the ride. Especially with it sitting next to the brand-new land for 2023.
Following on from the last few seasons of refurbishments, Dragon’s Fury’s time has come.
Over the years things were getting tired and worn out and repaints have been in order. Chessington has embarked on a mission to bring life back into the park over the last few seasons. Wild Asia, Forbidden Kingdom and the new Shipwreck Coast are examples.
With the World of Jumanji joining the lineup in 2023, things are certainly going from strength to strength. Exciting times lie ahead at Chessington World of Adventures and we’ll be back with more news soon!
