Farewell Wild Asia
February 23rd 2025
Farewell Wild Asia. Chessington World of Adventures has bid farewell to one of its most vibrant themed lands. Wild Asia is believed to be officially closed to advance the park’s future developments. Having entertained guests for over a decade, the much-loved area will soon be transformed. All as part of Chessington’s ambitious plans for the years ahead.
Wild Asia first opened in 2010, bringing an exotic and immersive experience to the park. The area was a retheme of the former Beanoland, which delighted visitors with its playful and comic-inspired attractions. Over the years, Wild Asia became a staple of Chessington’s lineup. Offering thrilling rides, themed dining options, and immersive theming that transported guests to the heart of South Eastern Asia.
Now, as Chessington looks to the future, all references to Wild Asia, including its rides, shops, and food outlets, have been removed from the park’s official website. The area is set to undergo a significant transformation, with redevelopment planned for the 2027 season. While official details are yet to be confirmed, proposals suggest that the space will house an exciting new roller coaster, an indoor attraction, and a relocated Kobra ride.
Speculation is rife that the new land could be themed to the popular Minecraft franchise, though planning permission has yet to be granted. If approved, this redevelopment would mark a major milestone for Chessington, bringing fresh excitement and innovation to the park.
As we say goodbye to Wild Asia, we look forward to what the future holds. Stay tuned for more updates as Chessington’s next big adventure takes shape!
