You’re Having A Giraffe! With the opening of Zufari: Ride Into Africa! opening only a few months away. Chessington World of Adventures today took delivery of four very special inhabitants. The bull Rothschild giraffes have all travelled via road to their new home in Zufari.
Four new male Giraffe will call Chessington their new homes and have arrived from zoos across the UK. Tonda (Paignton Zoo), Kismet (Marwell Zoo), Karamoja (Port Lympne) and Kito (Woburn) have settled into their new accommodation.
We are thrilled to welcome giraffes back to the resort for the first time since 1995. With any new animal arrival, there are challenges to face, and we have recruited specialist giraffe handlers to ensure they have the best possible care.
