Hotel Expansion Gets Approval
January 10th 2013
Following on from our news post in September last year, the new resort hotel expansion has been approved. The planned expansion features sixty-nine guest bedrooms, a new restaurant as well as so much more.
The new hotel building will feature sixty-nine new bedrooms across three floors. Featuring a variety of standard and accessible rooms, the new hotel wing is a welcome addition. The current hotel is often busy, with the Zafari restaurant often fully booked. The new wing looks set to aid that.
Alongside the new rooms is a ground-level restaurant and bar, but that is not all. With the new hotel wing, there are also planned changes to the current hotel building. Chessington will expand the leisure offering in the current Safari Hotel. By expanding the bar and pool area. With an extension to the rear of the pool.
It is expected that this will be a more child-friendly pool area. Thought to be taking the guise of a splash pool with juvenile water slides for the younger guests. This extension will replace part of the current exterior decking area.
With planning now approved, it is thought construction will start in the coming months. It is not yet known when the new expansion will open, but we shall be following progress. Be sure to keep up to date with all the latest news here on Chessington Buzz.
