November 4th 2020
Chessington Closes Due To Lockdown. Following a steady rise in Covid-19 cases across the UK, Chessington has once again closed to the public. Following the reimplementation of the UK’s Lockdown strategy, all leisure activities have been ordered to close. Including the Zoo, Hotels and Resort Theme Park.
Chessington was closed earlier on in the season after having only opened for 2 days of the main season following the rise of coronavirus across the country. As part of the UK’s lockdown easing strategy, the theme park, zoo and hotels were allowed to fully reopen on July 4th.
Due to the rise in coronavirus case numbers across the country, the UK has entered into a 4-week lockdown period. From Thursday 5th of November until the 2nd of November, Chessington will be closed to the public.
It is assumed that the park will reopen in early December, following the easing of restrictions. It is assumed the UK will return to the country’s three-tier restriction levels. We shall be eagerly awaiting news from the Resort about the park reopening for their annual “Winters Tail” event.
We will of course be following developments over the coming weeks. Be sure to follow us for the latest news and updates.
