Go Ape At Chessington Reopens

  August 11th 2020

Go Ape At Chessington Reopens! Following the closure of attractions and outdoor activities in March, when the UK entered Lockdown, Chessington’s final attraction has reopened. Due to the Government’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic, Go Ape at Chessington closed alongside the Resort in March. On August 10th, the Go Ape adventure ropes course reopened to guests.

Go Ape at Chessington originally opened to guests in 2016 as part of a resort expansion into the woods atop the Explorer car parks. The course, which features a number of aerial activities including zip lines and climbing frames is popular during the summer. Allowing guests to literally ‘go ape’ amongst the trees, the courses allow guests to escape reality. Perfect during the current climate!

With the news that Go Ape is now open, Chessington now only has one part of the resort closed. The Explorer Glamping accommodation is sadly closed for the remainder of the 2020 season, and it is not yet known if it will reopen at all. Due to the rustic nature of Glamping, keeping the attraction hygienic is a tricky job.
