Public transport is a staple of life across South-East Asia, and for many years, Chessington World of Adventures offered its own whimsical take with the Jungle Bus. While it didn’t take guests from A to B, it did lift them high into the air, offering a gentle-yet-thrilling ride above the treetops. The destination may have been stationary, but the journey was always unforgettable!

This quirky attraction bounced riders forwards and backwards in increasing intensity. Giving the feeling of flight aboard a seemingly ordinary bus. With its playful motion and energetic pacing, the Jungle Bus quickly became a favourite among younger adventurers.

Originally part of Beanoland, the ride was saved from retirement during the transformation into Wild Asia. Reimagined with a more natural aesthetic, swapping its bright red colours for earthy tones and a sky-blue finish. The Jungle Bus took pride of place at the entrance to the new land. Thanks to a redesigned entry pathway and themed portal.

Now, after years of delighting guests in Wild Asia, the Jungle Bus has closed. But it’s not the end of the road. As part of Project Play, this beloved ride is being relocated to the resort’s upcoming PAW Patrol-themed area. Here, it will continue to soar—this time, with a pup-powered twist!
