A New Ship Sets Sail in 2020. Today Chessington World of Adventures confirmed a snippet of news that we posted on social media a few weeks ago. They have announced that a new Pirate Ship ride will be arriving at the park in 2020. Replacing the aged and tired-looking Black Buccaneer. The new ship has set sail and is on its way to the Resort, hopefully in time for this season.
It has also been revealed that this new vessel is currently without a name.
Chessington has therefore launched an exciting new competition. Over on its social media channels, guests are in with a chance of naming the new ship at Chessington. There are even a few clues given to help give guests a steer towards a more fitting name.

Last season Black Buccaneer set sail, and now there’s a new ship on the horizon…
BUT there’s mutiny on the bounty and the pirates need your help to name the new fearsome blue arrival.
If your suggested name is chosen, you and three of your crew mates will be in with the chance of winning a year of exclusive Fastrack for the pirate ship AND Chessington Annual Passes.
Oh, and any ‘Boaty McBoatfaces’ will be made to walk the plank!

This is a great opportunity for guests and fans to be a part of Chessington’s History! Perhaps they’ll even be there as part of the ride’s maiden voyage! We cannot wait to see the new ship when it makes dock in Pirate’s Cove for the 2020 season.
