Seastorm Closed Until 2022

  September 1st 2021

Seastorm Closed Until 2022.

Following a few days of downtime, Chessington has confirmed that Seastorm will not return until 2022. The Mack Rides attraction, which opened in 1995, has recently been suffering bouts of closure. Not much is known as to the reasons for the closure. But it is believed that the ride is in need of extensive refurbishment.

On a placard outside the attraction, a themed sign details that the ride will return for the 2022 season. Until then, guests looking to take a ride on the stormy seas will have to step aboard the Blue Barnacle.

Avast ye Landlubbers!

Arrrrgh! The waters be quiet at Pirates’ Cove and sailers seeking to ride the treacherous Seastorm will have to wait until 2022 when the storm will return…

Chessington World of Adventures

We do have to wonder if this could be part of plans to rejuvenate the area for the 2022 season. With Blue Barnacle opening in the area for this season, very little was been made of the ride’s arrival. Could there be more to this than it seems and could we be seeing a full refurbishment of the ride and Pirates’ Cove?

As always, Chessington Buzz will be keeping our telescopes fixed on the shores of Pirates’ Cove and will be providing updates when they become available. With Seastorm Closed Until 2022, we’ll be keeping you up to date with the latest news!
