Two New Rides For 2022

That’s right. Chessington is planning to add two new rides for the 2022 season. Today, a planning application has been submitted to install two new rides at the park. The plans detail the addition of the rides to the Pirate’s Cove area, alongside other changes to the land for the year.
The first of the two new rides looks set to be a new round ride. Featuring water guns and a nautical feel. With a lighthouse tower operating console. The new ride brings a new interactive touch to the park and is an additional water ride. It’ll be extremely popular on those hot days! This new ride looks to be a Watermania ride by Italian manufacturer, Zamperla.
We’ve solved the mystery of the second of the two new rides. With Chessington looking set to install Timber Tug Boat from Thorpe Park. This Zamperla Rocking Tug ride will match the theme of the land and save the ride from the scrap heap. Removed from Thorpe Park due to the planned installation of a new roller coaster. Timber Tug Boat will make Chessington its third home.
Strangely, the planned new attractions hint that more may be in the works for Pirates Cove than expected. With the area looking set to take on a more nautical/Naval theme than that of Pirates. It would appear that the land looks set to be rethemed as part of the additions.
Things are certainly looking exciting for Chessington. With two new attractions this year, and the construction of a new entrance too. 2022 looks set to be a fantastic year for the park.
