Elmer’s Flying Jumbos is a magical ride at Chessington World of Adventures. Taking guests on an enchanting journey through the sky on flying elephants. Based on the beloved children’s books by David McKee. The ride is a colourful and whimsical experience that will delight visitors of all ages.
The ride is located in a hidden corner behind the Adventure Point Gift Shop. Adding to the sense of discovery. The ride lifts guests into the sky on the backs of the magical flying elephants after they board it. Which they can control with a push of a button. The ride spins guests round and round.
Elmer’s Flying Jumbos originally opened in 1987 in Circus World. Since then, the park has reimagined and moved it around many times.
The ride’s operators unveiled the current version of the ride in 2020. With Elmer transforming his troupe of magical flying elephants for the new season.
The ride is perfect for families with young children, providing a gentle and fun-filled experience that captures the imagination. Children will love the bright and cheerful elephants. As well as the chance to feel like they’re flying through the air. Parents will appreciate the peaceful and relaxing nature of the ride.
